BREACHING HUMPBACK CAPE BYRON. When I first began to photograph whales I wanted an image like this – 5 years later I had it!. there are many enjoyable days on the ocean spent photographing whales each year but it does take many hours and even days to capture a good image. on this day I had a strong feeling that something special might happen as this whale began playing just off cape byron. Thankfully, my patience paid off and I was ready to record this amazing breach with cape byron in the background.
